Newcastle Community Preschool is located in the heart of Newcastle, Co Wicklow. We opened our doors in the local community centre in 1992. Since then, we have had the pleasure of watching many young children come through our doors and flourish with nurture, education and fun. Our aim is to get the children ready for primary school and this entails learning some basic day to day activities and also learning through play.

Children benefit greatly from hands on learning and for this reason, we love to spend as much time as we can outdoors. We have our own garden and outdoor play area that the children love to play in. We also like to do some birdwatching and go on nature walks for the children to get involved in their surroundings. The heritage walk is one of our favourite walks to do as there is so much to see and learn about. Sometimes we go on little excursions on the bus which the children love to do.

Our priority is for the children to feel our preschool is a warm home from home personal setting and that they feel happy, included and enjoy being part of our team.

We offer both ECCE and part time places for children and our opening times are Monday to Friday, 9am to 12pm during school terms. If you have any queries or questions at all, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we would be more than happy to assist you.
